Wells Fargo Golf Tournament
It’s beginning to sound a lot like… the Wells Fargo Golf Tournament!
Did you know South Meck has partnered with this tournament since the tournament began in 2002? South Meck has earned more than $400,000 since 2002 in exchange for volunteer hours. Did you also know that the tournament is moving to Wilmington next year and South Meck will not serve as ecology ambassadors? This means that if we all roll up our sleeves this spring, dig deep, pick up trash, we will earn much needed seed money to fund our athletic teams, arts groups, PTSA, etc. (for next school year). Next year, we can then all take breath, take a break, and enjoy the tournament on TV or watching from the stands?
That’s right, this is a huge fundraiser for our school (more than $30,000 in 12 days) and we need a HUGE show of support. All students and parents are asked to volunteer for a shift. Students will receive an excused absence (of course, no absences allowed for AP exams). As a bonus, volunteers receive a t-shirt, meal voucher and the opportunity to get up close to see some of the best golfers on one of the most prestigious courses in the country.
Sign up now to volunteer and get your choice of shifts.
