We need ALL PARENTS, TEACHERS, & STUDENTS to pitch in and support this HUGE fundraiser!
South Mecklenburg High School is the official "Ecology Ambassador" for the Wells Fargo Golf Tournament.  In exchange for volunteer service, South Mecklenburg High School PTSA receives funds that will be distributed among the Athletic Teams, Performing Arts and other participating clubs or school organizations.  Funds provide "seed money" for next year's activities and virtually every student on campus benefits in some way.

Here's The Details

Our efforts begin Saturday, April 31st and run through Tuesday, May 9th.  That is eleven days!
  1. ​Starting TBD you can start signing up for any day and any shift that is still available (regardless of what team, group, or club had originally claimed that date).

  2. The Southmeck Permission Slip MUST be filled out electronically for EACH day/shift of volunteering.

  3. The Registration & Covid Form ONLY needs to be filled out electronically for the FIRST day/shift of volunteering. 

  4. Remember that we need to fill all the spots and your organization is earning money for your volunteer hours, so make sure you list the organization you're representing when you sign up.  

  5. Students signed up to volunteer during normal school hours will receive an excused absence from school.

  6. Students taking taking AP Exams must take their exams and will not be approved to volunteer those days.

Good To Know...

  1. Arrive 15 minutes before your shift.
  2. Volunteers should be dropped off at the bus parking lot or carpool as parking will be limited.
  3. Students can park their cars in their assigned student spaces.
  4. Parent volunteers may park in the first row along the fence in front of the football field.
  5. NO PARKING in the BUS LOT.
  6. Students can leave valuables and backpacks locked in the trailer during their shift.
  7. A bus will shuttle volunteers to and from the golf tournament. 
  8. You MUST be prepared to stay for the entire assigned shift.
  9. All volunteers MUST wear KHAKI PANTS or KHAKI SHORTS (appropriate length).
  10. Wear sneakers - you will be on your feet and walking a lot.
  11. If you wear a hat, it can NOT have any type of logo on it.
  12. If you need to bring medicine or have other personal items, the PGA requires that bags
    ​MUST be 6x6x6, or if they are clear can be 12x6x12.
  13. The tournament goes on rain or shine so that means we need you rain or shine.
  14. It's not fair to the other volunteers to NOT show up for your assigned shift. 
  15. Commit to showing up ON TIME and representing South positively.
  16. Don't forget to complete your electronic Registration & Covid Form, and the Southmeck Permission Forms before arriving for your shift
